Today I want to take a question from Steve, and Steve is wondering what the heck are my plans for the show and other possible resources this coming year. Here is what he said…

I just recently found your show and I’m catching up with the past episodes. I want to thank you for all the advice you have given so far and I’ve been focusing more on working “on” my business vs “in” my business and I’m determined to get to that 100k profit you talk about. I found the video and 8 Steps workbook helpful. I have a way to go but the tools are helping me get focused. I’m curious what else are you working on? Are you coming up with anything new soon? Hey Steve, thank you for the question. I am so happy that you are finding the tools helpful. It kills me that I can’t do all the ones in my head as quickly as I want. I have a lot of ideas of things that I want to create that I think will help you and the other listeners. Unfortunately, it all comes down to having the time. Which I know you all can relate too!
This year has started off with a bang and I’ve been so busy with my real estate business and when I’m not working on that, I’m working on the podcast and other things for you folks. My list just gets longer and longer unfortunately. I love to hear from you guys but you spark so many more ideas. LOL. But I love hearing what you guys need so please keep it coming. When I saw your question it made me smile and then I thought I’d share with everyone what I currently have going on and what I hope to do this coming year.



Obviously, the biggest thing that I have going on right now, is trying to get better at the podcast. I really want to hit the topics that are important to you guys. When I hear from you guys it not only warms my heart that I’m helping to make a difference, it also helps keep me on track with the things that I’m saying. Matter of fact, I’d love to hear more of what you would like for me to cover on the show. You don’t necessarily have to ask a question but you could even just tell me about show topics that you would like me to address in the future. Remember, just shoot them to me at .
It’s is your show. So I want it to be not only what I think you need to know but also those burning things that you feel you need to make your business stronger. I am dead serious when I say that I want each and every one of you to earn $100,000 in profit in your business. And I believe strongly that it is extremely doable by the vast majority of you. For those of you that are already hitting the goal, how do we get you to that next level in your business? So please, please, please, I can’t ask enough share with me with what your ideas. This way I can continue to make this show the great for you.



So, that was the first thing I’ve been working on. The second thing that I’ve been working on is how do I make the website become more user-friendly for you. I want to organize the tools you need to be stronger at your business. Ultimately, I hope to create a library of resources.
The challenge I currently have is everything is spread out over three different websites. So I’ve been slowly trying to combine two of the websites together. This way people don’t have to bounce between them. So right now I’m migrating the stuff to the website. So far, I have about 95% of the stuff moved over.

I also have stuff for folks looking to start a local small business so I’m also trying to separate this out to its own website at into its own website because I think that’s a different individual on this path vs my typical listener. I hope to give them the tools to get going and then graduating them over to us. This way we can all help them out. My goal is to get this done by the end of the month so I can spend 100% of my time working on the stuff for you, the existing local small business owners.



Once I’m done with the website mergers, I really want to put together a free course on getting to the $100,000 in profit. I want to really break it down and dive in deeper into the eight steps that I discuss in episode 4. Where I can give more examples to help you boost those profits. So far it seems to be a popular theme that everybody is liking. So I want to focus on it this year and help everyone grow their business and increase those profits.

Now in the future, I want to take different topics and continue to expand them. Giving more detail on the topics that you’re curious about. Kind of like a Free Library of resources if you will for local small-business owners. The tough part is being a one-person band. Things go a little bit slower for me to be able to do them, but they are definitely on my agenda to start working on. The more feedback I can get from everybody, the better I can prioritize your needs are and what you would like to see more of. Videos, training courses, etc, whatever it might be. I want to focus on the right priorities for you.



I do have another thing that I’m working on. I’ve debated if I should share it yet. But hey, why not. Since most of us have so little time, I’m working on a few things that will give you 2-5 minute quick biz tips. Right now I have 2 videos done and hope to keep adding them to the website. Ultimately, I hope to have 365 of them, one for each day. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll create another podcast with them. It is going slow as I’m kind of working on that in between things. We shall see.



Another thing that I have thought about doing was to start a Facebook group where everybody could talk to each other. I could pop in their once or twice a day to answer questions. You guys could bounce best practices and ideas off of each other.
Some of the best groups that I’m a part of are not really driven by the host but more by the others in the group. Some great ideas get hatched in them. There are so many Facebook pages out there that do not leverage their community correctly. It is more of a one-way communication from the host who is the only one allowed to post.
The groups that I’m in where everybody shares ideas, ask questions, and give their two cents are those I enjoy the most. I also learn the most out of them. This is what I want to create for you. So I am toying with the idea for the near future. I might not get to it right away, only because I want to make sure that I have the time to hop in there and talk to you guys. So keep an eye out for that later this year. I just have to slow down just a tad. Hopefully it might be something you’d like to use. If you have some thoughts, feel free to share with me.



My ultimate goal will be to grow into more one-on-one coaching. The challenge is once again finding more time to set aside for it. I want to grow beyond my local community and offer my services to folks in other areas. This way we can spend more time to talk about your particular business and brainstorm some ideas to help you go to that next level.
Sometimes you need to be able to talk through how your business is doing. One on one coaching allows me to ask the questions specific to your business so we can develop a gameplan for your business. I hope to figure out the best packages for the various needs out there.
I love my coaching time. Matter-of-fact, yesterday I met with one of my folks and we recapped her 2016. What went well and what didn’t. We set some goals are for 2017.
I think this particular goal will be more fluid until I can to figure out what works best for you and for me. Since my goal is to become a full time coach and work on these tools, I realize I need to make a commitment this year and get that ball rolling. As I’ve mentioned in the past, this is what I love and want to do for the next 20 years. It’s where I get my high from. So, as you can see, I have a lot of ideas and a lot of things that I want to do for you here in the community. I really want to grow this podcast and to help you boost your sales, increase your profits, develop stronger teams, & improving your processes. Plus I really want to develop a companion website with lots of videos and courses, a bunch of free stuff to help you really grow your business.
The best way I can do this is by taking the feedback that I get from all of you. You could say, you are the common denominator. At the end of the day, my number one goal is you and your business. I feel like you are the forgotten business owner. So many folks focus on larger businesses and online business. They forget you are the backbone to our communities. I want to be the voice that helps you, the local small business owner, be as successful as you can be.

I realize I also need to come up with a tribe name. What should we call ourselves? The Local Small Biz Tribe? I don’t know I need something cute. I guess I’m just not that clever. Oh well, time will tell.
